Plasma propulsion and nuclear fusion: innovating space transport
ASSOCIATED RESEARCHERS
Dr. Stéphane Mazouffre and Dr. Sedina Tsikata are Researchers from the Institut de Combustion Aérothermique Réactivité Environnement (ICARE)at Orléans, France, of the Centre Nationale de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS). Their contribution to the project is based on advanced turbulence diagnosis and plasma-wave interaction studies.
Dr. Igor Garkusha is part of Kharkov Institute of Physics and Technology (KIPT). He provides a relevant assistance for plasma-wave interaction, thanks to his vast experience in fusion plasma, plasma beam and electric plasma thrusters.
Dr. Francesco Taccogna is part of the Institute for Plasma Science and Technology (ISTP)in Bari, Italy, from the Consiglio Nationale delle Ricerce (CNR). His contribution to the project is focused on his experience with plasma-wall interaction problems and chemical aspects of plasmas.
Dr. Manuel Martínez-Sánchez, Professor Post-Tenure of Massachusetts Institute of Technology and former Director of the MIT Space Propulsion Laboratory (SPL). He collaborates on developing plasma-wall interaction models, plasma-wave and PEMSE prototype.
